A Win in the Windy City!

By: Will Cumby, Fuel Networks National Director

The final stop of the Flavor Fest tour touched down in Chicago this past weekend, and let me tell you, it was a flavor explosion (both literally and figuratively)! The Fuel Networks, powered by UYWI & DVULI led two sessions and hosted a table at the conference. Held at the Lawndale Christian Community Center, the event was buzzing with energy thanks to our amazing host, Pastor J, a true hip hop legend who kept the vibe positive and inspiring. Jonathan Banks, Chicago’s Fuel Network leader, led an engaging session on whole life discipleship, leaving attendees feeling equipped to live out their faith in a real way.

But Flavor Fest wasn’t just about talks! Chicago itself offered a feast for the senses. Between sessions, I had the chance to connect with Esteban and the Streetlights team, Pastor Phil Jackson from The Firehouse, and even a DVULI alum who flew in from Cleveland for the conference! We indulged in Chicago’s iconic deep-dish pizza, strolled along the picturesque lakefront, and soaked in the city’s vibrant culture. It was a true reminder of the beauty and diversity that connects us all.

Feeling inspired and energized, I left Flavor Fest Chicago with a renewed sense of purpose and a heart full of connections.
