Join the Movement!

The Flavor Fest Tour’s first stop in New York City was a resounding success!
I had a terrific time leading a session on helping teens navigate the challenges of depression, using insights and strategies from the E-book Youth in Distress. Kevin Lapierre, New York’s Fuel Network Leader, also facilitated a workshop on the principles of holistic discipleship, equipping attendees with the tools to foster transformative spiritual growth in their communities.
The Flavor Fest tour has four more stops, each promising a unique experience. The bar is set very high, with attendance exceeding expectations, powerful worship sessions, and a concert with everyone on their feet. The concert’s highlight was the electrifying performance by the chart-topping artist Bizzle, a moment that will be hard to forget.
I had several great moments in New York outside of the conference. The first was eating West Indian food and an impromptu subway ride into Times Square for pizza at 1 a.m. with Jonny Fine, our Cleveland Fuel Network Leader, and his son. The other was visiting the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn and witnessing Kevin Lapierre deliver a dynamic message about temptation to their youth ministry.
The Fuel Networks, a powerful collaboration between UYWI and DVULI, is a testament to the commitment of these organizations to empower urban ministry leaders. The dynamic workshops offered by The Fuel Networks left a lasting impact on the attendees, demonstrating its unwavering dedication to supporting youth workers and providing resources to help them make a significant difference in the lives of young people.
The next stop on the Flavor Fest tour is in Los Angeles. You can register to attend the conference and concert by visiting FlavorFest.org. To learn more about the Fuel Networks and get plugged into a community of urban leaders, check out FuelNetworkPartners.org.
